November 10, 2022

Autumn Blum: Ocean Advocate, Cosmetic Chemist, Entrepreneur & CEO and Founder of Stream2Sea

Autumn Blum, formulator and CEO of Stream2Sea, was recognized last week and formally inducted into the Women Divers Hall of Fame at the DEMA Show 2022. Honoring contributions of women divers, Autumn was nominated for educating about the dangers of chemical sunscreens and creating safer alternatives for people and planet. She combined her love of the ocean and her 20 years’ experience as a cosmetic chemist, and collaborated with ecotoxicologists to develop Stream2Sea, the only suncare products in the world proven safe for fish and coral larvae. Leading the global movement to ban toxic sunscreens, Autumn testified before the USVI government and presented to the National Science Academies. During the COVID crisis, Autumn created a microplastic-free, eco-safe sanitizer, supplying over 200,000 bottles during our time of need.

Scuba certified at 14, she is a PADI Master Scuba Dive Trainer, Trimix CCR diver, and also the founder of Scuba Girls.
