Knowing that the ingredients in many traditional skin and hair care products can contribute to coral bleaching and a host of other environmental harms, I set about creating products — and a company — that puts the health of marine life, and your families, first.
I’ve had many people say to me “I understand why you would make sunscreen, but why a body lotion?” To me, it makes perfect sense. We are exploring the planet, swimming, biking, and playing in the sun, the wind, the heat, and the cold. Even with diligent sunscreen use, our skin needs antioxidant protection and nourishment. I created this lotion to be super rich in both, without leaving you feeling greasy. I love it, and hope you will too!

Safe For You and Safe For Our Waters
What does tested & proven safe means for our bodies, waters and coral reefs?
Just because the front of the bottle might say it is reef safe does not mean that it is. That is because these terms are not yet regulated. You still need to look at the back, starting with the active ingredients listing. We have also discovered that just because a product is safe for people does not mean it’s safe in an aquatic ecosystem. Modern science has given us many lab tests to determine the safety of cosmetics, but there are currently few scientific lab tests to see if products are harmful to fish, coral and other aquatic life. We put Stream2Sea products through numerous studies to prove our safety, and believe that our products are the safest on the market for all your water, reef and outdoor activities.
As I was hiking I felt AWFUL stinging on my hands and later noticed small welts on my skin. My GP confirmed previous 2nd degree burns before (also on my hands), and I knew what it was immediately. After that day I continually applied a thick coat of this body lotion on the burn and within 36 hours my burn was gone. It involved constant application, but it was all I had to soothe the pain of the burn. It looked like I never burned once the skin healed: didn't even form freckles (which happens with me sometimes).
