Color Protect Shampoo Bar

This little bar for body & shampoo delivers a good lather. It smells strongly of oranges to me. I like that fact that it is a 2 in 1 product and I can feel good about using it outdoors. I have used Stream2Sea products for several years in my outdoor shower and feel good knowing that it isn’t harming the environment. This bar is at least 2 bottles of shampoo and possibly even three! It has good ingredients which are hydrating to your hair and it provides shine, heat protection, and uv protection. It also helps prevent fading and breakage. I like that it leaves my hair feeling clean and smelling great! Highly recommend!

I’ve been using the Stream2Sea Color Protect Shampoo Bar for about 3 weeks and I like it. What I like most is it's eco aspect. It’s a solid shampoo bar that’s equivalent to about 2 x 250ml bottles, so it lasts a long time and reduces plastic waste. It’s also great knowing it’s vegan and fragrance-free.Another aspect I like is that it includes key nourishing ingredients like wakame seaweed, green tea extract, rice protein, squalane, aloe, and panthenol, which help hydrate, strengthen the hair. Also feels nice on my skin and doesn't dry it out.When using it, it lathers well and rinses out easily without leaving residue. My hair feels clean but not stripped. I also like that it doesn’t leave any heavy build up. It's also good for travelling.

To start, I've not had much success in the shampoo bar realm. I find that they don't get into my thick, curly hair as well with the lather as liquid shampoo.This bar is billed as fragrance free, but there is a mild scent that doesn't linger and isn't strong or offensive. The bar lathers fairly well, but I did reapply after the initial few swipes. The shampoo leaves my hair feeling in need of a strong conditioning after rinsing, but that isn't much different from liquid shampoos. I have a slatted soap tray in my shower that is necessary for something like this so that it doesn't sit in wet and get soggy. I also have color treated hair and didn't notice it affecting that with any negative impacts.Overall, the bar worked and would be good for travel. But I didn't find it to leave my hair feeling great, and in some ways, it seems more drying. I would use this alternating with more moisturizing shampoos. I do appreciate the limited, waste free packaging.

If you’re used to traditional liquid shampoo, this takes a little getting used to. It lathers surprisingly well and leaves hair feeling clean. This has the consistency of a bar of soap but lathers like regular shampoo.The fragrance free formula is gentle, yet it still has a pleasant, subtle scent from the natural ingredients. It really shines as a travel companion as it is compact, mess free, and should last your entire trip. However, this seemed a bit drying to me and I definitely needed a conditioner and hair oil after using this. I’ve seen but never used shampoo bars, so ordered this one to give it a try.It smells wonderful- citrusy and fruity. It took a minute to get it to lather up in the shower, but once it started lathering, it didn’t take much to get enough to wash my hair. I’m really pleased with how easy it is to use and appreciate that it’s not using any plastic. It left my hair feeling squeaky clean but does feel like it stripped my dry hair of some oil, even after using a conditioner. My plan is to alternate using this shampoo bar with another liquid shampoo to avoid drying out my hair. The bar is very effective and easy to use. I’m honestly sold on the idea of a shampoo bar and will likely continue purchasing these after I use up this one.
