Giant Manta Ray: The giant manta ray is the world’s largest ray with a wingspan of up to 29 feet. They are filter feeders and eat large quantities of zooplankton. Giant manta rays are slow-growing, migratory animals with small, highly fragmented populations that are sparsely distributed across the world. The main threat to the giant manta ray is commercial fishing, with the species both targeted and caught as bycatch in a number of global fisheries throughout its range. Manta rays are particularly valued for their gill rakers, which are traded internationally. In 2018, NOAA Fisheries listed the species as threatened under the Endangered Species Act. (Source)

Safe For You and Safe For Our Waters
What does tested & proven safe means for our bodies, waters and coral reefs?
Just because the front of the bottle might say it is reef safe does not mean that it is. That is because these terms are not yet regulated. You still need to look at the back, starting with the active ingredients listing. We have also discovered that just because a product is safe for people does not mean it’s safe in an aquatic ecosystem. Modern science has given us many lab tests to determine the safety of cosmetics, but there are currently few scientific lab tests to see if products are harmful to fish, coral and other aquatic life. We put Stream2Sea products through numerous studies to prove our safety, and believe that our products are the safest on the market for all your water, reef and outdoor activities.
Biodegradability Tests
It is important to know that just because a product is biodegradable for example, a biodegradable sunscreen, does not mean that it is non-toxic. To be considered ‘readily biodegradable’, the product must break down into its natural state from 60-80% in 28 days. Stream2Sea products are readily biodegradable in fresh and salt water.

Swimming behavior with Stream2Sea biodegradable mineral sunscreen is relatively unaffected, whereas the competitor sunscreen most definitely altered the fish’s swimming behavior.

I’ve been using the “soothing lip balm” regularly for some time now, so I tried the cherry and it’s great! It’s smaller (.15 vs .25g) but that makes it easier to fit into that tiny wetsuit pocket or BCD pocket. Yes, I carry the lip balm in my BCD so I always have while diving, and I’ve never regretted that choice ❤️

Hands down my favorite lip balm for all occasions. I work outside and keep this in my pocket all day for frequent use.
