Blue Star Mothers is an organization composed of mothers, stepmothers, grandmothers, foster mothers, and female legal guardians who have children serving in the military, guard, reserves, or veterans. These dedicated women ensure that their children, and all deployed troops, receive the care and support they need, no matter where they are in the world.

With over 6,000 members across 200 chapters in America, Blue Star Mothers specialize in sending care packages filled with food, personal care items, and heartfelt letters to members of the armed forces. They spend over $1 million in postage alone each year and hold various events to honor veterans and military families.

Anne Gross, President of Blue Star Mothers New York Chapter 7, shared her thoughts on the partnership “As military mothers, we have a mix of pride and concern when our children are deployed. From the time they were young, our children knew we have always been and always will be supporting them as often as we can. Blue Star Mothers New York Chapter 7 supports all deployed troops by sending We Care packages containing food and personal care items. In true Mom fashion, we go the extra mile to find that special requested item that will help them get a taste of home or help give them comfort. It’s through these and many other programs that we are focused on showing how much we support not only our children, but all our ‘adopted’ children serving in the United States Armed Forces. We hope that when they receive these packages, the troops feel the love and support and that they are never more than a thought away.”
